Established in 2009, the HERCULES Laboratory is a research infrastructure from University of Évora, devoted to the study and valorisation of cultural heritage, focusing on the integration of physical and material sciences methodologies and tools in interdisciplinary approaches.

The Munchmuseet and and Laboratório HERCULES from Universidade de Évora announce the MUNCH2022 international conference - UNDERSTANDING MUNCH AND THE ART AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURIES, BETWEEN THE MUSEUM AND THE LABORATORY to be held in Oslo, between 21st and 23rd March 2022.
A three-day international workshop addressing the preservation, access and use of cultural heritage material samples archives, will be held at Évora, Portugal, from 13 June to 15 June 2022. The workshop will be organized by ICCROM, University of Évora and other partners.
